iTunes is known to be as a best tool for managing music. The music quality while using iTunes is better than any other players available in its class also the easy music organizing capabilities had made it iTunes the favorite of any average computer user. iTunes often crash because of various reasons and it is quite hard to fix the installation after that. We have used Byetunes to remove the corrupted iTunes installation files also. But in some cases even that too had failed in fixing up the iTunes. Then the only option left in hand is a re-installation of the operating system. That can wipe of your custom playlist created on your iTunes as well.

But once DoubleTwist is installed it will scan the iTunes playlists and load it in your DoubleTwist Media manager window and let you easily synchronize it with your Android Phone, iPhone and Blackberry. Good thing is while syncing the playlists from the iTunes it does not duplicates the music files in your computer. It can also automatically import your Windows Media Player playlists as well.

Infact DoubleTwist has multiple roles!

• It can be used as an iTunes to manage and synchronize media to your iPhone or iPods
• It can be used as a universal media syncing device to variety of smartphones.
• It can be used to easily download the Youtube videos to Mp4 format.
• You can search and buy music from Amazon MP3 store.
• It has an inbuilt Android Market browser.

For Android devices there is an app is available called AirSync which will helps to synchronize the playlist to the Android phones without connecting the mobile to the computers. It does it wirelessly using your home Wi-Fi connection.

DoubleTwist has support for PC and Mac

The Apple iPad 2 has a very unique challenger even with the strange name which makes you think it must be used at sporting events. The BlackBerry Playbook runs a completely new operating system called QNX and combines it with rather quirky features. It gets credit for great speed with the 1GHz dual-core processor and business people will like the word processing and spreadsheet viewers which are built-in. It does have a 3MP front-facing and 5MP rear-facing camera, the 1200×600 resolution screen is crisp and bright and light 425g body. The GPS sensors and accelerometer and the other features remind you of a powerful 7-inch tablet. However when taking a closer look at it, it makes one wonder?

Is It Really Worth the Price?

It does have some new features which is the first of its kind in the mainstream tablet such as powerful multi-tasking where you can play a game in one window and run a video in another window, with both applications running concurrently. However the Motorola Xoom can handle this as well. The BlackBerry Playbook is an interesting anomaly for the slick interface, support for HDMI connection to play 1080p video and file storage capabilities. However it sorely lacks third-party applications and hands-on tests revealed that it definitely cannot compete with the Xoom or iPad 2 as well as compare poorly to the original Samsung Table, the Galaxy. This was supposed to be in the class of those tablets or even outclass the other tablets and the BlackBerry Playbook 16GB model comes in at the same price of the 16GB Apple iPad 2 at $500.

Interface and Applications

Many call the operating system QNX a revelation, but in fact it is an iteration, with a touch of iPad 2 and dash of Windows 7 and very similar to the Palm web operating system. Like it works with the iPad it is required to press down on the application icon you wish to move and the trash icon when you want it removed. The use of the QNX interface makes it very responsive. RIM did a great job in the design of the operating system and the multi-tasking applications are brilliant and the copy and paste interface works better than the Motorola Xoom or Apple iPad 2.

A music player, e-book application, Bing maps, YouTube application, weather application, Adobe PDF Reader, a Clock, Tetris, and a game – Need for Speed, as well as networking services like Twitter and Facebook links are also available on the BlackBerry Playbook. There are however no Skype client, no official Twitter or Facebook applications, and nothing available from Google. There are very few games and even fewer business applications. Whatever their aim was it does not mean greatness for gamers or business individuals and no serious threat is made in regards to it being competition to one of its counterparts, no matter how you look at it. BlackBerry however has it staunch supporters and many does believe it to be hot, but the general consensus is “not hot”.
