While playing a Facebook video on the iPhone Facebook app you must have seen an alert “Sorry, this video cannot be played because it is in a format this device does not support.” It is a known bug in Facebook application that it can’t play the Facebook videos! But an application named Play Facebook Video aka FB Videos is a free app which will allow you to play the Facebook videos on your iPhone. In order to watch the videos you will need to connect to your Facebook account from this application. It will display only videos shared on your network. FB Video app supports your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Try this app
I used to get the same alert when trying to view my HD videos from my iPhone 4 on Facebook . But it only happens with the Facebook app from iTunes. Just load Facebook through Safari and watch any and all videos.

that’s a great finding. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes the Facebook app or if u browse Facebook from safari it will not let you play the videos uploaded in Facebook. But this app was able to play such videos. I have been using this app for quite sometime. Sad that they are not developing a better version to fix the app crash that often happens.
