Save Large files on the Web Drive using SkyDrive

Let me begin with a small note on SkyDrive service for those who have n’t heard about it before. The SkyDrive service is based on cloud computing for storing and sharing files on the web. It is integrated to your windows live id for authentication.

SkyDrive has the flexibility of keeping the files to be private or shared with particular contacts. A shared folder or public folders created in SkyDrive does n’t require an authentication to access the data on the cloud.
The service is providing a storage capacity of 25GB on the cloud to store your valuable data. You can upload a file up to 50MB (Single File). A silver light based tool will support drag and drop file uploading from your local drives. The service has integrated many other features to SkyDrive such as:
  • Windows Live Photos
  • Windows Live Office
  • Bing Search History Integration
  • Windows Live Groups Integration
  • RSS Feeds
  • Complete Download as a single Zip File

SkyDrive can easily access and synchronized through computers using a tiny application called SDExplorer like you sync files using Dropbox.
