Matriux is designed to run from a live environment like a CD / DVD or USB stick or it can easily be installed to your hard disk in a few steps. Matriux also includes a set of computer forensics and data recovery tools that can be used for forensic analysis and investigations and data retrieval.
Matriux is very lite as it can run in a i486 processor with 20 MB of ram that means your old windows 98 box will be more than enough to run this. It is a live bootable OS with an installation option as well. A section called Arsenal is equipped with all the security tools to take down a server or a network! But the beta version called Lithium is not fully loaded with all the complete list of tools as they offer in the Arsenal section.
