LinkScanner is a free web links checking app from AVG. LinkScanner app scans websites for malware and phishing. LinkScanner works in real time and warns users about the potential threats from websites that contain malware even before the malware can do any harm. Every link you visit is being scanned in real time. LinkScanner puts you one step ahead of the Data Phishers and gives excellent protection.
The software is around 1mb and the installation is pretty straight forward. During installation the software will contact AVG website to download (7mb) necessary files and Updates. The complete installation is under 5 minutes that includes one restart on my PC. Once you start to browse the web or search for links in Google, LinkChecker will show it’s magic! LinkChecker works on both Windows PC and Mac.
