Mati Aharoni and Emanuele Gentili are known as the Developers of first Backtrack Linux.  Mati is an Israeli Network Security Consultant and Emanuele Gentili is now CEO at Tiger Security Srl and a Speaker at Backtrack.  Backtrack’s First ever release was on May 2006.  The live CD was originated from Two different linux distro called WHAX (A Slax based created by Mati) and Auditor Security Collection (A Knoppix live Distro  around 300 Sec-tools By Emanuele).

Learning linux is pretty complicated is n’t it? But let me introduce you to couple of free guides which are really helped me to learn Linux. I found these guide very handy for a beginner who wants to learn Linux. These guides are really teaching you how to install various Linux operating system and basic desktop operations, but from my experience I would say learn the command line operation as it will give you a foundation to Linux administration.
