Google Docs App on Android gets a Facelift

Google Docs app for Android based devices gets improved features. It was meaningless using this app on Android based devices as it was like a shortcut created for the Docs website and the documents was not available to view/edit offline. With the new version the apps readability has increased and selective files can be made available for the offline access. After editing it offline it will automatically get synced when an active connection is available.

I would be happy if Google think about a single sign-on as well for this app. Otherwise its perfect now!

Team viewer has become very popular remote accessing software because of its simplicity and ease of use. The easy screen sharing tool does not require knowing the IP Address or requiring the Windows firewall to be unblocked. Team viewer is cable of starting an online meeting as well. Team viewer portable is packaged by Portableapps.com and using the portable version of Team viewer is little tricky. But don’t worry let’s do it together!

• First download the portable file from Portableapps.com. Click here to download
• Now open the downloaded file and extract it on your desktop by specifying your desktop path (It would something like this “C:\Users\Hackstacks\Desktop\TeamViewerPortable” )
• Now you must copy this extracted folder to your USB drive.
• Open the “TeamViewerPortable.exe” There it become your portable Team viewer.

TreeSize is a Best Utility for Finding Disk Space Hogs

I wanted to share with you a nice tool which tells the disk space usage by each folder in a drive. It’s a free utility called TreeSize. I have shared another utility called DiskSpace Fan before, which does the same job. But I found this easier and faster in terms of drilling down to the folder level and then file level. The tree style design of displaying the drive contents makes it easier to use. This utility can save lot of time when you don’t have any clue as why one of your computer drive become start growing unwantedly.

The best thing I liked in this utility is you can still explore the folders while it is scanning your computer drive. Also it scans and displays the data very fast when compared to the DiskSpace Fan.

The user interface is not at all complicated you can easily find what is occupying most of your disk space. They have a professional version as well it gives some premium features such as reporting and export possibilities. I feel the price of 52.95 USD is a bit expensive still you can try the professional version in trial period for 30 days!

It supports in all the windows editions currently being used by home users and enterprises.

MobaLiveCD to run all the Live CDs inside the Windows

MobaliveCD utility is a freeware to run the Live CDs straight in to your Windows Operating System console. Using this utility you will no longer require sacrificing a windows session to test a live cd or a bootable cd. MobaLive CD can boot from any ISO (Bootable Image) and a Bootable USB. This software is excellent for quickly testing the Linux image files.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich may Release before October

The much awaited Android 4.0 codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich may release before October. There was no released date announced as of now for the Ice Cream Sandwich but the Boy Genius report says that they have received the information from someone at the Android development team as it may release before October.

The reason for the early release can be the pre-order date of the iPhone 5 (September or October) Google would have a fear that if iPhone 5 releases before Ice Cream Sandwich they may lose a good number of customers from Droid!

With the new Ice Cream Sandwich Android tablet user can have every features they have seen on Android Smartphones. Ice Cream Sandwich is known to be a universal OS for every android device. Tablet users will be most benefited with the release of this version of Android because, they will get be getting every OS updates since it will become a common platform.

Still this fall in to a rumor so let’s wait and see!
